Terms of Service
Effective date: 26 October 2026
These terms apply when you use PDFDispatch: the website pdfdispatch.com, the web app and the API at api.pdfdispatch.com ("the service"). By making an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
PDFDispatch is provided by Šori rešitve, Daniel Arthur Hawton, s.p., Slovenska cesta 56, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, registration number 7543727000, tax number 28722795 ("we", "us"). Contact: support@pdfdispatch.com.
2. The service
PDFDispatch makes PDFs. You send HTML, a URL, Office files or PDFs to the API with an HTTP request, and get a PDF (or another file, such as a screenshot) back. Files sent to the API are kept only while the PDF is made and are not stored afterwards.
The result depends on what you send: fonts, pages that load slowly, or content that a browser or an office program shows differently can change how a PDF looks. Check that the results fit your purpose.
3. Your account and keys
- You must be at least 16 years old. To buy a paid plan or credits, you must be at least 18, or act for a company.
- Give a working e-mail address and confirm it. We use it to log you in, for password resets and for messages about your account, your usage and payments.
- Keep your password and your API keys secret. Anyone with a key can make PDFs on your account, and those PDFs count towards your plan, your overage and your credits. You are responsible for what happens in your account, unless it was used without your permission and you did not cause that by being careless. If a key may have leaked, revoke it at once in the web app.
- If you act for a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.
- You can delete your account at any time in the web app.
4. Rules of use
You must not use PDFDispatch to:
- make or spread illegal content, or content that harasses, threatens or deceives people (for example phishing or forged documents),
- process content that you have no right to use,
- fetch pages or systems that you may not access, or use the API to attack, scan or overload other people's servers,
- attack, overload or test the security of our servers without our written permission,
- get around the limits of your plan, for example with many free accounts,
- resell the API itself as a PDF service without our written permission. Using it inside your own product or service is fine.
5. Plans, limits and what counts
- Each plan includes a number of PDFs per month, and has limits on the size of a request and on requests per minute. They are shown on the pricing page and in the docs.
- One successful request is one PDF, whatever its number of pages. A request that fails counts nothing.
- The month is your billing period. On the Free plan, it is the calendar month (UTC). The Free plan stops at its limit: further requests are refused until the next month.
- We may change the Free plan at any time. For a paid plan, we tell you at least 30 days before a change that is worse for you. You can then cancel before it takes effect.
6. Payments
- Paid plans are subscriptions, paid monthly in advance, in euros. They renew by themselves at the end of each period until you cancel.
- We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added: the price you see is the price you pay.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
- After each payment we send an invoice to your e-mail address. You also find your invoices in the web app.
- When you change to a bigger plan, you pay the difference for the rest of the current period at once. When you change to a smaller plan, the unused part of the current period is kept as credit for your next plan payments.
- If a payment fails, we try again for a few days. If it still fails, your account goes back to the Free plan.
- We may change prices. We tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. You can cancel before that.
7. Overage
- On a paid plan, PDFs past your plan's monthly PDFs are overage. Overage is charged on your next invoice, at your plan's price per extra PDF.
- Overage on the invoice is limited to 50% of your plan's monthly price in each billing period. Past that, each further PDF is paid with credits (section 8). Without credits, requests are refused until the next period or until you buy credits.
- You can switch on "Stop at the plan limit" in the web app. Then there is no overage: requests are refused once your plan's PDFs are used.
- Prices per extra PDF can be set to a tenth of a cent. For billing purposes, partial cents are rounded to the nearest cent at invoice time.
8. Credits
- Credits are money paid in advance for PDFs past the overage limit. You buy them in the web app, in packs from €10, as a single payment (not a subscription). €1 buys €1 of credit.
- A PDF paid with credits costs your plan's price per extra PDF. It is taken from your balance at once and exactly; no rounding applies.
- Credits never expire. They stay on your account if you cancel your plan, and are used again when you return to a paid plan. Only paid plans use credits.
- There is no automatic top-up. Credits are bought only by you, one purchase at a time.
- In rare cases, when our systems could not check your balance in time, PDFs you made are taken from your credits afterwards, and your balance can go below zero. Your next purchase pays that amount first.
- Refunds: within 14 days of a purchase, the unused credits of that purchase are refunded if you ask. Write to support@pdfdispatch.com from your account's address. We refund within 14 days, to the card you paid with. After those 14 days, credits are not refunded.
9. Cancelling and refunds
- Cancel at any time in the web app. Your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, and we charge no further plan payments. The overage of that last period comes on a final invoice. Then your account goes back to the Free plan.
- 14 days, money back. Within 14 days of your first payment for a paid plan, you can ask for a full refund of that payment. E-mail support@pdfdispatch.com from your account's address. We refund within 14 days, to the card you paid with, and your account goes back to the Free plan.
- After those 14 days, and for renewals and overage, we do not refund, except where the law requires it or where the service did not work because of us.
- Credits have their own rule: see section 8.
Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a contract for a plan or a credit purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The period starts on the day you buy. To withdraw, tell us clearly, for example by e-mail to support@pdfdispatch.com. You can use this model form, but you do not have to:
To Šori rešitve, Daniel Arthur Hawton, s.p., Slovenska cesta 56, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, support@pdfdispatch.com: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: PDFDispatch, plan ____ / credits bought on ____. Ordered on: ____ Name: ____ Account e-mail: ____ Date: ____
When you withdraw from a plan, we refund all payments for the plan, without delay and at the latest within 14 days, to the same payment method. Under the 14-day rule above, you pay nothing for the days you used. When you withdraw from a credit purchase, we refund the credits of that purchase that you have not used.
10. Contract accounts
If you have a separate written contract with us for PDFDispatch (a contract account), that contract governs your PDFs per month, prices, overage, invoicing and payment. These terms apply to everything the contract does not cover. Contract accounts do not pay through Stripe and do not use credits unless the contract says so.
11. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep PDFDispatch running, but we cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may stop it for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop the service, we tell you at least 60 days before, refund the paid time that is left, and refund your unused credits.
12. Suspension and ending
If you break these terms, we may block keys, limit your account, or close it. We decide in proportion to what you did, and we tell you why, unless the law does not allow it. If we close a paid account because you broke these terms, we do not refund the current period or your credits. If you think we decided wrongly, e-mail us within 30 days.
13. Your content
What you send to the API stays yours. You allow us to process it only to make your PDFs and run the service. You are responsible for having the right to use it. If it contains other people's personal data, we process that data for you, as the Privacy Policy explains.
14. Liability
- We are fully liable for damage that we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
- On the Free plan, we are not liable in other cases, as far as the law allows.
- On a paid plan, our liability in other cases is limited to damage that is typical and foreseeable, and to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage, as far as the law allows.
- We are not liable for the content of the PDFs you make, or for requests that are late or fail, as far as the law allows.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have as a consumer and that cannot be excluded or limited by contract under the law of your country.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We update the effective date at the top. If a change is important, we tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before that.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
If you have a problem, please contact us first. If we cannot agree, you may go to the courts of Ljubljana, Slovenia. If you are a consumer, you may also go to the courts of the country where you live. We do not take part in out-of-court consumer dispute resolution (ADR) procedures.
17. Other terms
- If a part of these terms is not valid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right at once, we do not give it up.
- These terms are written in English. If we publish a translation and the versions differ, the version in your language applies where the law requires it; otherwise the English version applies.
